About this calculator
GOSI contributions are a percentage of the contributory wage: basic salary plus housing allowance, capped at 45,000 SAR a month. For Saudis who joined GOSI before 3 July 2024, the employee pays 9% pension + 0.75% SANED (9.75%) and the employer pays 9% + 0.75% + 2% occupational hazards (11.75%). For Saudis covered by the new Social Insurance Law (joined from 3 July 2024), the pension share rises by 0.5% each July until it reaches 11%. For expats, there is no employee deduction; the employer pays 2% for occupational hazards.
Worked example
A Saudi employee (joined before July 2024) on 10,000 basic + 2,500 housing + 1,000 other allowances has a contributory wage of 12,500. GOSI takes 9.75% of that — 1,218.75 — leaving 12,281.25 take-home. The employer pays another 11.75% (1,468.75), for a total cost of 14,968.75.
