About this calculator
The day count is the number of midnights between the two dates; tick “include the end date” to count both the first and the last day. Working days skip the weekend days you choose — public holidays are not removed, so subtract any that apply.
Worked example
From 4 November 2026 to 1 January 2027 is 58 days, of which 42 are weekdays with a Saturday–Sunday weekend.
How to use the days between dates

Frequently asked questions
Does it count the start date?
The plain count is the difference between the dates. Ticking “include the end date” adds one, so both the first and last day are counted.
Are public holidays excluded?
No. Only the weekend days you choose are skipped. Subtract public holidays yourself.
